Fluorine-doped Tin Oxide (FTO)

Fluorine and Indium doped Tin Oxides have been widely used to provide conductivity to glass surfaces.  We have been developing a bulk powder version of FTO which can provide conductivity to other materials, such as fabrics, polymers, or insulating ceramics.  This can be especially useful if color or transparency must not be significantly altered.  FTO is also a good electrode material for electrochemical cells.  It is relatively stable against acidic, oxidative corrosion compared to alternatives, such as carbons or zinc oxides.

Group 4 & 5 Oxides

Titanium, Vanadium and Niobium Oxides and Sub-oxides are the most well known in this group.  These difficult to find and manufacture materials have useful properties in advanced applications.  Generally, they are ceramics that retain good conductivity, have excellent corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing environments, and possess small optical band-gaps.
