Electrical Engineer (Inactive Posting)
Intro
Advanced Ionics is seeking an engineer with at least a few years of industrial experience in molten carbonate fuel cells (preferred), solid oxide fuel cells, high temperature batteries, and/or power-to-gas.  This person must have a diverse skill set who would enjoy working in a risky, early-stage endeavor and excels given the opportunities and challenges normally encountered.
  
Requirements:
  • Interested and excited about clean energy technologies.
  • Patient, calm personality type with ability for strategic, long-term thinking.
  • Gets along with all types of people and enjoys interacting with others.
  • Understands how to solve problems using a first-principles or similar approach.
  • Continuously succeeds despite any challenges encountered.
  • Must be willing to eventually work in Milwaukee, WI (not immediately required).

Skill Sets:
  • Knows how to build a high temperature electrochemical cell from scratch.
  • Understands system design and balance-of-plant.
  • Has skills that compliment other team members, such as
    • Design of Experiments, Six Sigma
    • Inorganic Chemistry and Material Synthesis
    • Electrochemistry
    • CAD, Manufacturing
    • Programming (i.e. Python, Matlab)

Compensation:
As an early stage member of the team, equity in the company in the form of shares will be accrued. No salary or immediate monetary compensation will be provided.  After funding, only partial salary will be provided for the first year.
